Why contact details are blocked before cooperation
Before a cooperation is accepted and the service scope is confirmed, messages containing phone, WeChat, or email details are blocked. This protects both parties and keeps cooperation traceable; it is not meant to block normal cooperation.
What this covers
Explains why contact details are blocked before cooperation is established, what is blocked and why, and how to unblock it.
What is blocked
Only contact details such as phone, WeChat, and email are blocked. You can still discuss the request, design ideas, and cooperation intent in the conversation; you just cannot send contact details before cooperation is established. If a message is detected as containing contact details, you will see a notice that contact details cannot be sent yet, along with the current step and the next action.
Why it is blocked
1. Prevent ads, lead-generation, harassment, and fraud: stops people from demanding contact details without discussing cooperation. 2. Protect both parties: both requesters and providers can be harmed when information is incomplete; confirming scope first is safer. 3. Keep cooperation traceable: cooperation records, reviews, and reports rely on in-platform communication; skipping the platform makes disputes hard to resolve. 4. Encourage confirming the scope first: moving to offline communication after both sides agree on service content, budget, and deliverables reduces misunderstandings.
How to unblock
Follow these steps: 1. Start a cooperation (a provider applies or a requester invites) and have it accepted. 2. Both parties confirm the service scope. 3. The requester enables contact exchange. After it is enabled, messages containing contact details still go through safety review and become visible once approved.
Common misunderstandings
- Myth: the platform is deliberately delaying cooperation. Fact: only contact details are blocked; you can discuss the request at any time. - Myth: accepting cooperation is enough to send contact details. Fact: both parties must also confirm the service scope, and the requester must enable contact exchange. - Myth: the platform wants to keep your contact details. Fact: LynHub does not actively collect or display contact details. After contact exchange is enabled, the parties exchange them themselves in the conversation, and they go through safety review.
